probably German or Belgian circa 1790, with slightly swamped 28 1/2in. octagonal barrel, dove-tailed bead fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight with additional folding leaf, platinum line at breech, engraved top-tang, border engraved flat bevel-edged lock with clipped and stepped tail signed 'B & E.H. PASTOR' below the rainproof pan, roller frizzen, complex bordered finely chequered walnut full-stock (fore-end renewed), carved raised cheek-piece with raised floral carved detail, the rear left hand side of butt further carved in relief with a wild boar in a naturalistic setting, sliding patch-box to right hand side with engraved white-metal lid, white-metal moulded and engraved heel-plate (numbered '136' at toe), trophy engraved broad white-metal trigger-guard bow with pineapple finial and raised scrolled lower tang, double set triggers, white-metal side-plate in the form of two recumbent hunting dogs, turned and moulded white-metal ramrod pipes and throat, replacement horn tipped wood ramrod
